What are the numbers beside the paragraphs in the Catechism?

The colored numbers at the side of the paragraphs are other paragraph numbers. They are cross-referencing other paragraphs throughout the Catechism that deal with the same theme. Please reference pages 15-19 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church: Ascension Edition for a more-detailed description of the structure and directions for using this catechism.
