Support Gifts - Where does the money go?

Ascension is proud to offer world-class podcasts, YouTube videos, blog articles, and social media content completely free of charge. We hear everyday from our community how this “free media” helps to capture hearts and souls for Christ, and we are honored to be the leader in bringing the truth and beauty of the faith to the digital space.

As you can imagine, there are significant costs associated with creating “free” media, from paying for the equipment to paying our staff, it takes a significant investment to bring this evangelizing content free-of-cost to the public.

Your “Support Ascension Media” gift will help defray these costs and enable us to keep bringing evangelizing digital media to all those who search for God.

And here is something further for you to consider....Unlike radio, which "costs" the same to put on the airwaves no matter how many people tune in, podcast broadcasting costs increase as the audience increases. Because podcasts are "broadcasted" over the internet, a bigger audience needs more digital bandwidth.

The Bible in a Year has become one of the top podcasts in the nation, and is arguably the most successful religious podcast of all time in English. As Bible in a Year exploded in popularity, our cost to keep putting Bible in a Year on the "digital airwaves" went up by 3000%!

What you may not know is that service providers charge podcasters according to download traffic, so big podcasts cost more per listener. And while most podcasts have downloads in the hundreds per podcast, the Bible in a Year podcast cumulative downloads are already in the tens of millions!

This is great news because it means more people are listening to God's Word than ever before.

When you support Ascension media, your gift makes it possible for our audience to listen to Bible in a Year, and all of our podcasts, free of charge. You help us bring the Gospel to people who can't pay for this sort of content, but deeply appreciate being able to encounter God's Word in this way.
