The Updated Bible Timeline Study
We are excited to share the new updated edition of our most comprehensive Bible study: The Bible Timeline. For those familiar with our original edition, you may have questions as to the differences between the two editions of the study.
What is new about this edition of The Bible Timeline study?
The updated Bible Timeline study has all new videos, filmed on-location in the Holy Land, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, and Rome, as well as in-studio segments. While Jeff Cavins is the main presenter, he is joined by familiar faces such as Fr. Mike Schmitz, Dr. John Bergma, Dr. Marcellino D'Ambrosio, Dcn. John Harden, Dr. Mary Healy, Dr. Jeffrey Morrow, Damon Owens, and Dr. Christine Wood.
Are the workbooks the same between the old and new editions?
The workbook will have the same format, with new easy-to-follow instructions for what to do at home and what to do with your group. While the number of sessions remain the same (24) we do not recommend using old and new materials together.
What are the differences between the old and new workbooks?
The new workbooks feature a spiral binding that allows the workbook to lay flat and makes it a little easier to take notes in. While the number of sessions are the same, the page counts and session numbering are different, as well as the instructions. The questions are largely the same, but the wording and answers have also been improved for more readability and understanding.
What will I need to participate in this study?
Each participant will need a study set (consisting of the workbook, chart and bookmark), access to the videos, and a Bible and copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church to use when diving into the references.
Please note that both the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Ascension Edition, and The Great Adventure Catholic Bible are available without charge through the Ascension app, available at AscensionPress.com/app.
Does the online access come with my study set?
No. The study sets and online access are sold separately. However, if you are participating with a group that plans to watch the videos in person, you may not need to purchase the online access. Please check with your study leader to see if everyone will need access so they may watch at home on their own, or if everyone will be shown the videos when you meet for each session.
Why is the online access more expensive than it is with other studies?
The Bible Timeline study is our longest and most intensive program that took over 3 years to make. It is the highest quality we have produced while only increasing the cost by $3 over the old version.
Will this study have an Imprimatur?
Yes!
Will this be available on the App?
The videos will be available in the app to premium subscribers where these, and many of our other studies can be accessed.
How long are the videos?
The videos for each session are approximately 50 minutes each.
Is this study available in Spanish?
At this time, we do not have a Spanish translation.
Will you continue to sell the old version of the workbook?
Once we sell out of the old version, we will not be reprinting it.
What if I recently purchased the old version of the study?
If you have purchased your materials within a reasonable amount of time, please reach out to our support team and they will be able to assist you.
